For my first trainspotting excursion since the federal election was called, we took a few hours at mile 30. We caught CN #435 there, a 39x eastbound, X392 at Mansewood, and #547 working the Glass spur.
Scotch Block, Ontario
(map) Scotch Block is an excellent photography location at mp 30.0 CN Halton sub, between Milton and Georgetown.
CN A435 heads west.
An eastbound climbs the hill at mile 30.
(map) Mansewood is a nice open spot with nowhere really good to park near the tracks. It is immediately North of Milton and South of Scotch Block on the CN Halton sub.
CN X392 crosses Campbellville Rd at Mansewood.
(map) This is where the CN Halton and the CP Galt subs cross eachother, though there is no junction.
CN L547 comes off the Halton at Milbase and switches in Milton.
