I travelled to Guelph Junction to watch the GO trains return to their roosts there. 5 of them park there at night and on the weekends.
Guelph Junction, Ontario
(map) Technically Campbellville, Guelph Junction is the junction of the Guelph Junction Railway -- currently serviced by OSR -- the CP Hamilton sub, and the CP Galt sub. It is between Milton and Galt on the CP Galt sub.
One of several GO trains backs into its roost at Guelph Junction. The conductor can be seen dismounting the train while it's still moving. Shortly before that, an engine can be heard starting. That's the conductor using a remote started to start his engine.
