We heard about CN's BC rail heritage unit leading CN 108 out of Jasper and ventured westward to see if we could catch it, getting CN 101 with two C40-8Ms, 310, and 773 at Carvel, CN 834, 108 with the heritage unit, and 180 in Marlboro, and 412 at Entwistle and again on the bridge over the 16 at Magnolia Bridge near Gainford.
Carvel, Alberta
Carvel is about 30 miles west of Edmonton on the Edson sub.
Marlboro, Alberta
Marlboro is to the west of Edson and just west of Bickerdike on the CN Edson sub.
Entwistle, Alberta
Entwistle is at the east end of Chip Lake about half way between Edson and Edmonton on the Edson sub.
Magnolia Bridge, Alberta
Magnolia Bridge is a large bridge over highway 16 between Gainford and Entwistle on the CN Edson sub.
