Babcock and Wilcox sent a 500 tonne generator up the GEXR Fergus sub. Steve found it wyeing at the seldom-used Fergus sub wye in Guelph on GEXR 432, en route to Toronto Mac Yard, and let me know. The two of us chased it, leap-frogging eachother along highway 7.

Guelph, Ontario

(map) The city of Guelph is my home town and is just East of Kitchener-Waterloo on the GEXR Guelph sub, and the Ontario Southland Railway/Guelph Junction Railway track, the other end of which is at Guelph Junction.

GEXR 432 usually runs light on Sundays. This time it had a 500 tonne generator from BAWX in Cambridge. 432 is seen here crossing Wellington Road 29, just East of Guelph, with several dimensional spacers and the generator.
